Sometimes I am thrown into the wall with the realization of how privileged I am to have the family that I do. Every day I spend time with students - adolescents and children - who come from homes where the members hate each other, where it is not clear as to who is the authority at home, where loved ones are wrenched from each other by the selfishness of those in power. I will never be able to truly understand what those students go through until I pass through the same.

I am so thankful for them - Mum, Dad, and Jay. Will I ever be able to raise a family as my parents have?
